Objective

To support the Government of Pakistan in creating sustainable employment opportunities, generating private sector investment, and laying the foundations for the future development of selected economic sectors in KP and Newly Merged Areas.

The project has disbursed US$22 million (of which US$2 million from the Additional Financing).

Achievements

  • Project management offices of KP, Newly Merged Areas and SMEDA operational.
  • An upgraded Management Information System (MIS) for the matching grants component now functional.
  • Applications from SMEs in KP for Matching Grants will be collected between July and October 2017. So far, 150 applications have been received.
