Islamabad, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Road Recovery Project (ERRP) received additional financing of USD 9 million to reconstruct an additional 14 km of the Swat Provincial Highway. To date 15.5 km have been reconstructed under the project. The road benefits an estimated 300,000 people. Students are able to get to school on time, patients have faster access to nearby medical facilities and many others continue to benefit from the lower transport and vehicle operating costs and reduced travel time that the highway offers.

Islamabad, Friday 29, November 2013 – The Danish Government and the World Bank signed an agreement today regarding Denmark’s contribution of USD 5 million in support of the Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan. This brings the total contribution by the Danish Government to USD 12.1 million (Denmark contributed USD 7.1 million in 2010).

Islamabad, October 10, 2012 – The Netherlands Government and the World Bank have signed an agreement today regarding the Netherlands’ contribution of USD 5 million in support of the Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan.

ISLAMABAD: 12 September, 2012 – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) announced today the approval of a USD 10 million grant for promoting girl's education in Balochistan and the additional financing of USD 2.75 million for strengthening the governance in the Province.

Islamabad, Friday 7 September 2012: Multi Donor Trust Fund's (MDTF's) Governance Support Programme (GSP) brought together 45 officials from the Government of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP) and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) Secretariat to share information on the existing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) country systems, develop a common understanding and agree on a way forward for Post Crisis Needs Assessment (PCNA) results based M & E through country systems. 

PESHAWAR, Thursday, 19 July 2012: Mr Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, Chief Justice Peshawar High Court inaugurated the first-ever Judicial Academy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). This Academy has been set up by the Peshawar High Court and operationalized through the support of the World Bank administered Multi Donor Trust Fund's Governance Support Programme among others.
